Sharing The Love Award

Nanatrish of the very sweet blog "Nana's Living The Dream," surprised me with this beautiful award on Thursday! Nana is a relatively new blogger who, like many of us, are at the time of our life when we are looking forward in life through our love for our grandchildren, as well as reflecting back to the experiences and memories that have have shaped us and made us who we are. She is a wonderful writer, full of energy, and has a very kind heart, I hope you drop by her blog and say hello!

There seems to be many awards fluttering around in blogland these days, and I know everyone has a different approach to them. I'd hate to think giving, or accepting, or passing on an award would hurt someones feelings, or make some feel as if they are more popular or well liked than other bloggers.

I know every one's blogs are worthy of every award because we all share a part of ourselves and our lives and our interests in our blogs. It takes time and effort out of our precious days to blog, but I know this experience has enriched my life because it makes me look forward to sharing my experiences, and makes me see everything with a new appreciation.

My camera is now always in my bag and I'm taking photos of things I never would have thought of before ... lol!

I believe awards are made and passed on in the spirit of encouragement, and I know I have been introduced to many new blogs that I may have not found otherwise, so I enjoy passing them on in that spirit. I hope everyone understands!

So here are a few blogs I enjoy to whom I'd like to pass on this award. I hope you take a moment to visit them too!

Dot at Picket's Place -- When I think about someone "sharing love," Dot immediately came into mind. She has 5 grown kids and 11 precious grand kids and her love for them as well as her parents, shine through all her delightful posts. She is always encouraging, has the biggest heart and always makes me smile.

Cori at Gingerbread Cumbs and Company Cori's blog is a quiet peaceful place with beautiful music and graphics. She has a deep Christian faith and often posts very thoughtful and expressive scripture and writings. She is also a talented decorative painter.

Paz, of Paz's New York Minute. A few photos and a few words about NYC almost everyday --Paz captures the essence of the city in her blog -- the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful. The photo story on July 11th about the young girl and the squirrel made me realize that Paz has a very good heart!

Alex of My Quill and Pen -- I've only known Alexandra only for a short time, but she is a very friendly sweet person who recently found she is facing a big health issue. I'm sure she'd love many new visitors to encourage her, and to enjoy blog.

Congratulations to all!

Hi Pat,
Thank you so much for passing your award on to me. I loved what you said about it not being a popularity contest and how it would be nice to give an award to everyone. It seems that there are so many different styles of blogs and each one has a different purpose or fills a different need. It's true that each one is special in it's own way and what is nice is that there are real people behind each one. I gladly except. Thank you.
:) Cori

Hi Pat,
I'm so sorry it took me soooo long to post my award, but it's up and it's such a darling picture! Who comes up with these? You have been such an encouragement to me too and I enjoy reading your blog so much. Oh, I also passed it on to my friend Ellen B. She posts the most amazing photographs.
On a side note...I like the old way. It's so much fun turning on my computer and having my mail preview pop up and I can see,"I've got mail from Pat, Yah!" When I first started blogging I hit the "follow up comment box" and the next morning I turned on my computer only to find that I had 21 emails from one of Tara's posts. I thought I had somehow hacked into her email account. Boy, was I panicked until I figured out what I had done. Woow! Relief!
Have a fun day.
:) Cori
