Key West, Florida

We're back from celebrating our 34 wedding anniversary in Key West, Florida, and I want to thank everyone for their wonderful, warm best wishes to us! Your comments were all sincerely appreciated.

We had a wonderful time while away, and enjoyed many beautiful sunsets!

We learned a lot about the fascinating history and culture of the southernmost point in the continental USA, and I hope to show some of those highlights about the island here in the next few days.

As always, there is a lot of "catch up" to do when coming back from vacation, but it's good to be home. I hope to visit all of your blogs over a few days time .... I missed you all!

Thanks again for sharing our happy day!

Hi Pat and welcome back!
I don't think I've ever seen a prettier sunset then the one you were able to enjoy! I'm being naughty and am at work so I have to run. Just wanted to pop in and say HI!

34 years, how amazing. I married the boy next door in the bicentenial year (1976). Key West is a lot of fun isn't it? I took a picture of my hubby in the same spot on his motorcycle.

Welcome home Pat! I've never been to Florida, although my Mom was born there and I have cousins there. I've heard stories about Key West from my great grandmother, so I look forward to hearing about your trip!

You both look so cute. We have a similar picture, but there are no cute people in ours.

Now, you are down on stomping grounds familiar to me. I love all of the Keys.

Don't you love Key West? We were standing at that very "90 miles the Cuba" marker the day after Thanksgiving (2007) when got "the call" saying we were officially out of attorney review on the shore house. It was ours! So I have very happy memories of that trip. Even though attorney review was a bit brutal. :-)

How fun! I love Key West. I got to go there for only a day on a cruise I took. I always wanted to go and stay for a few days.

Seeing your pictures reminded me of all the great stuff there.

Did you go to the Pirate Show/Museum? It was fun.

I also did a city tour there. Loved the above ground cemetery they have.

Hugs,
Joanne
