March Note Card Party -Dreaming of Spring!

Vee, at the Haven for Vee blog asked us to consider some spring like photos for the March Note Card Party.  Every month, Vee asks that we chose four photos that we have already published in posts on our blog that we feel would make beautiful note cards.  She now allows the choice of using one new photo we never published, if we so desire.

I recently did a post about a ride to Breckenridge, Colorado we took this winter  that you can read here. Since I know most people are experiencing winter fatigue, I thought I re-share four photos I took on a trip to Breckenridge last year during the summer--you can read that post here.

Spring comes late to the high country of Colorado, but when it does it brings beautiful wildflowers, strong afternoon thunderstorms, and absolutely gorgeous vistas!

Here are my Note Cards and quotes I thought would go well with them inside:

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help" ~ Palsm121:1

"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference."
~Robert Frost

"Just living is not enough..... one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower."    ~ Hans Christian Anderson

"It is wonderful to climb the liquid mountains of the sky. Behind me and before is God and I have no fears."
~ Helen Keller

Thanks, Vee!  It was a pleasure to be able to join in your Note Card Party event today! Be sure to visit Vee today to see links to many other participating blogs.

PS:  For all who are wondering, I promise to reveal where we were when I took this photo of my husband in Breckenridge on my next blog post!

Sorry for the suspense!  :)

Beautiful Colorado. Your pictures are so beautiful.

I like the quote about needing flowers...

My quote "I buy fresh flowers, and if there is any money left, I pay the rent and by groceries"

HaHa...a little extreme...but I do always keep fresh flower in my home and I've never been late on rent or hungry...guess it works for me.

Lovely post.

Our son and family are skiing Wolf Creek as we speak. Staying in Pagosa Springs and love the pretty little town...the snow is awesome, he says.

Wonderful note cards, and quotes to match. How well the quote from Frost turned out for your second photo.
Not nice to keep us in suspense. :-)

Truly breathtaking pics. I think you were wise to go against the grain and avoid winter ones. :-D I'm particularly drawn to the second one, intrigued by where those tracks lead.

Lovely, Pat. Thank you for sharing the beauty of Colorado.

Stunning! And the captions for each are all wonderful. It reminds me of The Sound of Music. (Vinny looks as if he's in an Ice Palace.)

Oh dear....so much beauty. Our Colorado girl flew home last week to surprise us for a5 day visit. How my heart longs to be with her in Colorado. The wildflowers always make my heart joyful. The wildflower festival in Crested Butte in July is always so stunning...the mountains come alive with color in the back country out there. So much beauty!

Beautiful, beautiful scenes of alpine glories. I do love the verse from Psalm 121 and think of it often when we see the mountains in the distance or driving through them in the summer.
Your note card selections are inspiring.

Beautiful cards. The quotes fit perfectly.
It is amazing to compare the photos of Colorado and those from NYC and see they are equally lovely in their own way! There is something beautiful wherever you go in America I think.

I would be so pleased to have a notecard set with those photos. (But unless I had two sets, I'd never send them away -- I'd frame them.) Thanks for the Colorado memories. Beautiful. Happy Spring!
