You have been up to sooooo much and you had a giveaway I missed out on!!!! Congrats, however, to the lucky winner!

How awesome that Little Leo and his parents have been visiting you in NYC!! I just know you were on cloud nine!!! It looks likes you kept him busy with wonderful baseball games ag the new Yankees Stadium (which is just amazing--loved it that the guys had to wait in line at the johns for a change!) and birthday and graduation celebrations!! What fun for everyone! Happy belated b.day to you and your hubby and congrats to your daughter for her educational accomplishment!

Our newest little grand is due ANY day now. It's hard to believe there will be another tiny baby for us to love!!

It's so hot in KC---it's not supposed to be this bad in June, but it is until Sunday. I'm heading to the basement to work on a couple of projects--it's very cool down there and I have a big old TV so I can catch my soaps, too!

Have a great rest of the week! So sad the old stadium had to go... I love the Yankees, but have not seen them play "live" only on TV--LOL! A live game is so much more fun than watching on TV. I don't bother going to Hard Rock Cafes anywhere. Fun concept, but they are too crowded, lines too long, and oftentimes food not so great--at least by my experience. To be honest I cannot even remember how I found you, just sometimes a name or a blog title catches my eye!!!
First off yes, Yankee stadium was the stadium RUTH built and everyone knows we are talking about BABE RUTH!!!WEll Surprise surprise, Babe Ruth's daughter Julia Ruth Stevens lives right next door to my in-laws all Winter long, she is at every family party --Christmas and Easter, I have had the privilege to sing many a Christmas carol's with her as my in-laws have a karaoke machine and she loves to sing, even at 92 this Year!!!!
It is a special honor to get to go into her home and see all the memorabilia she has about her father. Also one other tidbit of news, I was an Extra in the Gatorade commercial a few years back that starred Derek Jeeter and Harvey Kietel, remember that one??? Derek was a bit stand-offish to us Extra's, while Harvey Kietel was very friendly.
So I am a Yankee Fan and a Red Sox fan if you understand why!!!I have only been to New York once in 1994, I would love to return to New York as it is a very exciting place to be most of the time.I still cannot get over what happened on 9-11.
Thanks for letting me peek in
have a blessed day,
jamie--aka mimiMimihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06070694544133528430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4742343364632742295.post-26074681639341821872009-06-20T01:19:46.552-04:002009-06-20T01:19:46.552-04:00How fun! There's something about the whole experience I just love.

The new ballfield you visited looks amazing, so much more to offer than our dinky one here in Tucson.

However, that being said, I was sitting behind home plate a few years ago when Randy Johnson did his famous bird kill pitch. He threw his pitch and suddenly you feathers were flying everywhere around the batter. At first I thought the batter had stuffed a down-filled pillow in his shirt or something and was hit by the ball. The stadium went super quiet and then we all realized what had occurred. A dove had unwittingly flown right in front of the batter when Randy pitched--and the dove was no more. It was one of those amazing times in sports I actually got to witness. Sometimes they replay that scene on TV and my husband and I look for ourselves in the video. It was a memorable day.

Before I forget, congratulations to the winner of your adorable market bag.
