As many of you know I have been blogging for the past couple of weeks about our vacation in Ireland. In between, on May 31, I was given a beautiful "Five Blogs That Make My Day" award by one of my favorite bloggers, Steviewren of "!
I felt so honored! It's always nice to know that someone enjoys what we put forth. Steviewren's thoughtful blog and artwork have always been interesting to me, plus we recently found out that we both have birthdays in June and are almost the same age! We are like kindred spirits! Thanks again, Steviewren!
Now that my travelogue is finally finished I'd like to announce five blogs that make my day.
I have many blog inspirations listed on my sidebar, and even more in my computer favorites file, and I enjoy each and everyone of all that you share on your blogs.
So many have already received this award, and it's difficult to try to choose just five, but here are my choices to receive this award:
Kathy at Have Suitcase Will Travel
Kathy is originally from London, England, and moved to California five years ago due to her husband's new job. Her blog is very brand new, but already her wonderful sense of humor and love for her family shines through. She recently visited a few of the same places I did in Ireland, and I enjoyed seeing her perspective. Please go over and welcome Kathy to blogging and enjoy her new wonderful post about Lincoln Cathedral and Lincolnshire!
M. Kate at La Vie Est Belle
M. Kate lives on the island of Malaysia, and she shares many wonderful photographs and fascinating cultural experiences of Southeast Asia. She recently vacationed in Cambodia, and today's blog post was about taking her children on a trip to the Central Market in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia's capital. What beautiful objects were for sale! I especially loved the pressed orchids arrangements.
Marg at Home Again
Marg lives in Vancouver, Canada, and I only recently discovered her blog, but I am enjoying it so much! She has a wonderful sense of humor and a great writing style. Her post about finding restrooms while traveling in Germany made me laugh! Today's unusual post about bathing suits was an eye-opener.
Marie at Proud Italian Cook
I nominate Marie for a cookbook contract with a major publisher ASAP! Her recipes and photography are outstanding! Creative, delicious, and best yet is that most of her recipes are simple to make and yet look "elegant dinner party" perfect! She has been focusing recently on grilled foods for the summer months, and in between has been sharing her recent vacation to Napa Valley, California.
Pat at Back Porch Musings
Pat lives in a small Missouri town, just outside St Louis. Her wonderful photography, gardening, and decorative skills are superb. She always has interesting and intelligent insights, and I find the memories she shares always so fascinating.
Here is where I add all the other blogs I read _____________.
Please know I do enjoy each and every one of you!
The rules for this award are:
1) Write a post with links to 5 blogs that make me think and/or make my day.
2) Acknowledge the post of the award giver (Thank you Steviewren!)
3) Tell the award winners that they have won by commenting on their blogs with the news!
