Happy Easter!

It's our little grandson's first Easter! He was a brave boy to sit on the Easter Bunny's lap for this photo, but as you can see he kept his eyes on his mother to make sure she wasn't going anywhere!

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead... "
1 Peter 1:3

A Prayer of Illumination for Easter

by Mark Roeda

Lord God,

Your Word is life;

we are merely punctuation.

Do not allow apathy to ball us up into periods,

Or skepticism to bend us into a question marks.

Instead, as with Mary at the tomb,

As with Thomas in the locked room,

May an encounter with your gospel

Stretch us into holy exclamation points

Giving you glory and praise.

In Jesus’ name, the Word made flesh.

Amen

I wish you all a very happy and Blessed Easter!
