I had a wonderful week away in Colorado, visiting my sweet grandson. Look how big he's grown! We had a lot of fun getting to know each other -- singing songs, reading books, taking strolls together. Each morning he greeted me with a big smile!
It was also so good to see my son and daughter-in-law and spend so much time together with them. It was nice to see what good parents they are, and how happy they have made their lives in the beautiful West.
I didn't do much sightseeing, as my priority was spending time with my grandson, but I'll show a few photos of some interesting sights I saw in Denver over the next few blogs.
I flew home yesterday evening, and landing in JFK Airport in a heavy rain storm was a little scary -- we actually could not see the ground until the plane's wheels set down on the runway! Today was spent catching up with snail mail, grocery shopping, laundry, and such. It is always surprising how quickly the usual routine resumes after a vacation.
I'm looking forward now to start visiting all your wonderful blogs again, which I missed while I was away as I took a total computer break. I hope everyone had a good week -- mine was one which gave me memories I'll cherish forever!

Sheila... whose favorite song is "Fields of Gold"!
Isn't it gratifying to see the children you raised grow into good parents? There's something about that. What a doll that little guy is. Glad you had a wonderful week!

Welcome Home! When this picture came up, I skeddaddled over here to say howdy. Leo is so adorable and he certainly has grown. That's a marvelous picture of the two of you! One of the best things about visiting with a grand and your children is to see that the grand is in excellent hands. Bet your hubby is happy to have you home!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! He's an awfully sweet looking little guy! He looks like he has lots of kisses all over him. PAM
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture Pat! Leo is a beautiful boy!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great time. Colorado is my favorite place to live.
Hello Pat, found you on Judy's blog. I am an RN also and have just begun to discover the wonderful blog world of wise women who have the same interests I do. I would love to follow your blog and come visit me if you find the opportunity. P.S. a retired RN. Grand babies are life's second greatest gift. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteI was feeling guilty for not visiting YOU and here you were away the whole time.
ReplyDeleteYour grandson, Leo is a darling boy. You must miss him already.
I notice you've got Eva Cassidy on your playlist. Coincidentally, I just ripped her cd onto my Windows Media player and listened to her for the very first time. Hmm.
See you soon, Pat.
Kat
