I've shown you my daughter and son-in-law's beautiful Brooklyn, New York, wedding ceremony on
this post, my candid photos from their professional photo shoot in Brooklyn Bridge Park on
this post, and their wedding cocktail hour and the following reception on
this post. So to finish the joyful sequence to their marriage I thought I'd share a few photos of where they spent their honeymoon, in the Cancun area of Mexico the
Excellence Resort Playa Mujeres. Many friends recommended this resort to Lisa and Joe, as they are noted for their top-notch service and accommodations. When they looked into the "all-inclusive honeymoon package" they were sold!
They had a gorgeous suite overlooking the Caribbean Sea, that also included its own private rooftop pool and jacuzzi. As part of their honeymoon package they were pampered with breakfast in bed (which they chose to eat at a table on their terrace), had couple massages, and were served a romantic dinner on the beach. They felt like they were in paradise! They went parasailing, snorkeling, rode jet skis and enjoyed the relaxing sun-filled days. On the last day there was an early morning rain shower and afterward, they saw a beautiful wide rainbow in the sky.
It was a wonderful honeymoon, and a memorable way to begin their marriage.
"And now abide faith, hope, and love, these three, but the greatest is love. ~ 1 Corinthians 13:13"
Thank you for your congratulations and best wishes to the new couple and for following along as I've shown you photos from their special days! The last few months have been a whirlwind of activity and planning and now I look forward towards enjoying summer and having "life back to normal." What are you looking forward to? Do you have any special summer plans?
What a great choice to go with an all inclusive resort for their honeymoon. It just seems it would be so relaxing! Beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteIt has been such a pleasure to have you share such a joyous time with us!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh does it look wonderful there - gosh I am so jealous in a good way. Looked so nice and romantic.

What a fabulous choice for a honeymoon - no worries, no big decisions beyond what fun things to do! I've thoroughly enjoyed your wedding posts - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why I'm not "receiving" all your posts. I've been waiting for the wedding photos and your post today shows they are already on your blog!! And, a quick perusal of the event is beautiful. I plan to revisit tomorrow over coffee and when I can hold my eyes open.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
I do imagine that you have an overwhelming sense of relief and cheer now that the wedding is over! We always have a busy summer because so many in our family has a birthday in July or August. We will be doing a lot of celebrating as well as babysitting and vacationing with the kids:)

What a perfect place to honeymoon and a great way to kick off a marriage. congrats to all. Yourndaughter looks beautiful in that flowing dress on the beach.
ReplyDeleteBack to normal is nice but it doesn't make the same kind of memories. It's been beautiful to follow along.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Pat. I'd just like to say that it's been delightful to share in your daughter's wedding. The anticipation is often brought with anxiety but your daughter's wedding seemed to have all the boxes ticked so the planning went well. The joy of that day is now replaced with happy memories and anticipation of a long and happy life together. All the best to your daughter and her husband as they begin their lives together. thanks to them for allowing you to share this wonderful occasion with them. Once the farmer is finished doing all his field work I hope that we'll be able to take a road trip to BC. My family is there and I love the scenery alone g the way. Enjoy your summer!
ReplyDeleteSorry I should check my spelling sometimes but I tap along and click send - you know what I mean though...
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I think I and my groom of 36 years would enjoy a "booster" honeymoon at that resort!
ReplyDeleteOkay.
ReplyDeleteIt's official.
I need a new honeymoon.
I'll keep my old groom, but, seriously...
what a WOW time!
They are such a lovely couple.
I've just finished "attending" the wedding. What a joy! From the beautiful bride (love her dress and yours) to the honeymoon, it all looks to have fallen easily into place. Of course, I know all the planning and hard work made the event perfect!! Thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
A beautiful wedding and a beautiful honeymoon set the stage for a beautiful marriage. Nothing like sweet memories!
ReplyDeleteWhat a dream honeymoon....it is all so beautiful and they look so happy.
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed all your wedding posts and these are sort of the icing on the cake. What a beautiful place. I know as you wrap all these memories around your heart you will probably appreciate some mundane living for awhile.
ReplyDeleteoooh...I've been in that area...nothing like their sand and their blue water! How lovely!
ReplyDeleteI went back and really enjoyed the wedding post. How BEAUTIFUL! I do hope they are enjoying their honeymoon!

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! Such beautiful pictures. Felt like I'd like a honeymoon there myself...perhaps I should consider that more and anniversary journey! Wishing you well! Cathy
ReplyDeleteWOW...what a great choice for a honeymoon destination! We've not been to Mexico...should add that to our list! Thank you of sharing so much of the happiness you & your family have been experiencing these many months--what with all the planning, anticipation and the happy wedding day. Life is such a lovely mix of all the little and big events, isn't it? Wishing you all a wonderful back-to-normal summer. This summer I'm doing two creative courses I've been longing to do, as well as painting and writing. My hubby turns 50 in July, so we've got some celebrating to do too! It's going to be a good summer! :o) ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteHi Pat! Happy happy birthday!! (I got a message about it on my Facebook page) Oh, and GO Yankees! My Dad's favorite team and I'm missing him.... This honeymoon looks incredible. Parasailing is something I would like to do even though I'm so afraid of heights. Somehow the fact that you are still attached to the boat makes it ok for me, unlike skydiving. I can't recall whether your daughter lives in the NYC area, but I hope you are able to see her often. Charlotte is about to move to Boston --yikes--Red Sox--but that is 3 hours closer to me than where she is now in Maine! Have a wonderful day and show us your birthday cake if you can! Linda
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to this lovely couple. I was in Cancun once, but definitely did not stay at this gorgeous place.
ReplyDeleteI like that blue honeymoon location; what a gorgeous place.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday, Pat! Be sure to check out my Kindle Fire giveaway.

What a beautiful place and so glad to see how happy the bridal couple looks.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I've had my big summer fun already with reunion, my trip to Rochester and BookExpo. My surgery is in two days and will spend the rest of June recovering. I've got BlogHer ahead in August and would still love to do a New York blogger get-together.
Awesome getaway!
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Blue Monday. Here is my BLUE post. Have a nice week ahead.
What a wonderful place to honeymoon! Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeletemakes me want to book an all inclusive!!!! wonderful place for a honeymoon!

ReplyDeleteFirst off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I had no idea til reading other comments. I hope it was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, what a marvelous way to end the wedding festivities. The entire affair from beginning to end was absolutely lovely. Congratulations to all involved.
Enjoy having "life back to normal."

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous place for a honeymoon!
ReplyDeleteWell, Pat, now that your daughter is married and all the hoopla has mellowed, you can relax and take it easy for the rest of the summer. Plenty of good books out there for you to read if you're in the mood. :)
Happy Birthday, by the way. I thought we might both be Geminis and I was right.
Did you note that one of the President's daughters shares the 10th with me? Dorian was a couple of days earlier. Geminis unite! Ha.
I'm sure you need a little rest and I hope you have an enjoyable summer. My husband and I spend each summer at our little cottage in the lake region of Maine. Very relaxing.

ReplyDeleteI love your unbridled loving enthusiasm. Paul and I did an all-inclusive resort deal - which proved wonderful - we didn't need to think. Very sane. The photos are gorgeous - wish everyone could start their marriage this way.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, and looks like a fantastic way to have the honeymoon!
ReplyDeleteOh,they're such a cute couple. Looks like a wonderful honeymoon!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and taking that "drive" through Patagonia. You asked about the TimeLapse app...it does do it automatically. I just tell it how long to record and how often I want it to shoot a still frame (like every 6 seconds or whatever you want), plus you can add music if you like. Pretty fun stuff!
What a love place! May they have a long and happy life together!
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful there. I've had fun tonight catching up on your blog. I've thoroughly enjoyed all the pictures.
