March Note Card Party -Dreaming of Spring!

Vee, at the Haven for Vee blog, asked us to consider some spring-like photos for the March Note Card Party.  Every month, Vee asks that we chose four photos that we have already published in posts on our blog that we feel would make beautiful note cards.  She now allows the choice of using one new photo we never published, if we so desire.

I recently did a post about a ride to Breckenridge, Colorado we took this winter that you can read here. Since I know most people are experiencing winter fatigue, I thought I re-share four photos I took on a trip to Breckenridge last year during the summer--you can read that post here.

Spring comes late to the high country of Colorado, but when it does it brings beautiful wildflowers, strong afternoon thunderstorms, and absolutely gorgeous vistas!

Here are my Note Cards and quotes I thought would go well with them inside:

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help" ~ Psalm121:1

"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference."
~Robert Frost

"Just living is not enough..... one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower."    ~ Hans Christian Anderson

"It is wonderful to climb the liquid mountains of the sky. Behind me and before is God and I have no fears."
~ Helen Keller

Thanks, Vee!  It was a pleasure to be able to join in your Note Card Party event today! Be sure to visit Vee today to see links to many other participating blogs.

PS:  For all who are wondering, I promise to reveal where we were when I took this photo of my husband in Breckenridge on my next blog post!

Sorry for the suspense!  :)

  6. Beautiful Colorado. Your pictures are so beautiful.

I like the quote about needing flowers...

My quote "I buy fresh flowers, and if there is any money left, I pay the rent and by groceries"

HaHa...a little extreme...but I do always keep fresh flower in my home and I've never been late on rent or hungry...guess it works for me.

    Lovely post.

  23. Oh dear....so much beauty. Our Colorado girl flew home last week to surprise us for a5 day visit. How my heart longs to be with her in Colorado. The wildflowers always make my heart joyful. The wildflower festival in Crested Butte in July is always so stunning...the mountains come alive with color in the back country out there. So much beauty!
