I recently did a post about a ride to Breckenridge, Colorado we took this winter that you can read here. Since I know most people are experiencing winter fatigue, I thought I re-share four photos I took on a trip to Breckenridge last year during the summer--you can read that post here.
Spring comes late to the high country of Colorado, but when it does it brings beautiful wildflowers, strong afternoon thunderstorms, and absolutely gorgeous vistas!
Here are my Note Cards and quotes I thought would go well with them inside:
"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help" ~ Psalm121:1
"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference."
~Robert Frost
"Just living is not enough..... one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower." ~ Hans Christian Anderson
~ Helen Keller

Beautiful Colorado. Your pictures are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI like the quote about needing flowers...
My quote "I buy fresh flowers, and if there is any money left, I pay the rent and by groceries"
HaHa...a little extreme...but I do always keep fresh flower in my home and I've never been late on rent or hungry...guess it works for me.
Lovely post.
Your photographs are really stunning and the quotes you've chosen really make your Note Cards surely unique ! Thank you my dear friend, you always make me feel so good when I come and visit you !!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day my dear Pat <3

ReplyDeleteYour photos are stunning, Pat, and you selected verses that are perfect for them. Colorado's scenery is spectacular.
ReplyDeleteTruly breathtaking pics. I think you were wise to go against the grain and avoid winter ones. :-D I'm particularly drawn to the second one, intrigued by where those tracks lead.
ReplyDeleteLovely, Pat. Thank you for sharing the beauty of Colorado.
Stunning! And the captions for each are all wonderful. It reminds me of The Sound of Music. (Vinny looks as if he's in an Ice Palace.)

Oh dear....so much beauty. Our Colorado girl flew home last week to surprise us for a5 day visit. How my heart longs to be with her in Colorado. The wildflowers always make my heart joyful. The wildflower festival in Crested Butte in July is always so stunning...the mountains come alive with color in the back country out there. So much beauty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...each and every ONE of your note card photos. And fitting, perfect, quotes to go with them.
ReplyDeleteThe photos are breathtaking! I'd love to have them as notecards!!

Such a lovely place.
And such a lovely person you are to find the beauty in everything.
I would be so pleased to have a notecard set with those photos. (But unless I had two sets, I'd never send them away -- I'd frame them.) Thanks for the Colorado memories. Beautiful. Happy Spring!
