The Magic of the Jack O' Lanterns

A few days ago we took our children and grandchildren to a fun local event at Hudson Gardens in Littleton, Colorado called "The Magic of the Jack O' Lanterns," hosted by the Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group.

We walked around the gardens and admired all the Jack O' Lantern and Halloween displays

The artwork on the Jack O' Lanterns was very detailed...

...and all the garden's trees were lit with many colored lights.

Some of the displays also had music and motion to make it extra festive.

There were so many wonderful Halloween displays to enjoy!

Famous artwork portrayed pumpkin style.

It was a very fun night!

Our grandchildren really enjoyed walking through the gardens and seeing all the Jack O' Lanterns and watching all the moving displays.

This was a fun exhibit that included a Halloween song! To see the video go to my Mille Fiori Favoriti Facebook page on this link to see this video and a few others from the exhibit.  Make sure your click on the sound microphone on the lower right of the video to open it to hear the sound!

Have a Happy and Safe Halloween!

If you carved your own Jack O' Lantern this Halloween, or have uncarved ones that you are going to eventually put into the trash, consider instead using these ideas on the National Wildlife Federation blog on this link to recycle them for the birds and wildlife to eat, or donate them to a local zoo, wildlife rehabilitator or a wildlife rescue group.

  10. Pat - oh my goodness, what an incredible display! I admired so much the collage with the Edward Scissorhands pumpkin - artistry at the highest level! We missed carving pumpkins this year since we are in the UK. I am so inspired for next year! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday and giving me a taste of back home Halloween!

  12. You guys in US do take your Halloween to heart don't you? Our is much more low key, especially this year when the day and weekend was spoiled by bad weather.

  25. Somehow we missed Halloween this year. DH had a 7AM MRI appointment downtown which meant a very early rising which led to afternoon naps.

  26. Happy Halloween to you too & thanks for sharing all these wonderful pictures. All my kids are grown and married & have moved away, but my oldest daughter stopped by today with two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and we all went out for lunch and talked about Thanksgiving of all things. hahahaha Have a great day!

  27. Wow -- this is spectacular! Oh, I'd love to do this with our little team -- they would adore it and so would eye. Love every photo!

For years I've put my "spent" pumpkins in the back yard by the fence and brush area, cracked open one side and let the critters at them. The colorful orange brightens things up for a bit in early winter but by spring they are long gone!
