Spring Cleaning
March bustles in on windy feet
And sweeps my doorstep and my street.
She washes and cleans with pounding rains,
Scrubbing the earth of winter stains.
She shakes the grime from carpet green
Till naught but fresh new blades are seen.
Then, house in order, all neat as a pin,
She ushers gentle springtime in.
Author: Susan Reiner
"For, lo, the winter is past; The rain is over and gone;
The flowers appear on the earth; The time of the singing of birds is come,
And the voice of the turtle-dove is heard in our land" ~Song of Songs

"If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome."

Hi, Miss Sandy here, thank you for joining the Easter Parade!
ReplyDeleteYour post was wonderful, I am a quote collector and you used one of my favorite verses! I actually have that one with some hand painting over my bedroom closet door. That Scripture always speaks to me of hope. Spring will come again, even after the storms of life!
Loved the flower photos! Thank you for giving me a taste of spring! Have a blessed Easter!
Hi again Pat! I forgot to tell you, the author of the 1st poem on your blog is my maiden name, Reiner! Do you know anything about her? I love to do genealogy when I'm not in the whirlwind of life! Thanks so much for your encouragement and helpfulness, you are wonderful!! Hugs back, Sherry
