Dove Damage Therapy Conditioner $1,000 Gift Card Opportunity!

;

If you are a regular reader of my blog you know by now that I will be moving from New York City to Colorado in the near future. I am excited to be going to a beautiful home in a community nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, where I will be closer to my children and grandchildren. Thank you to all who commented on my last post with wonderful tips on moving -- I appreciated reading all your very helpful ideas!

I look forward to spending lots of time with my family and enjoying all the natural beauty and attractions of the west. However, one thing I know I will face when I live over a mile high is that not only will I be closer to the damaging effects of the sun, but also to the dry humidity of the local high desert conditions.

Summer is especially damaging to the hair when the heat and sun make hair brittle and straw-like -- definite signs of hair damage. That is why I was happy to receive a complimentary bottle of Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Repair Hair Conditioner to use and review!  This product came at an opportune time, as I was looking for a new product to use, as not only does weather affect my hair but also the hair coloring I do to cover my grey hair.  In summer I usually add blond highlights to my hair, for a change of pace, and this added treatment can be very drying.  The conditioner Dove sent to me was their "Intensive Repair Daily Treatment" formula, which leaves hair strengthened and resilient to future damage. It provides a luxurious treatment feel to restore softness and smoothness. Just a small amount of the rich thick conditioner worked into my hair after washing, and then allowed to work for one minute before rinsing clear, made my hair immediately feel silky and soft!

After one week's use, my husband remarked that my hair seemed very glossy, shiny and healthy! We were both pleased with the results I obtained from this wonderful new product by Dove! Now I want to try all the other new conditioners in this new Dove line to see what results I get from them. There is a link to a Dove Hair Therapy Product coupon at the end of this post -- why not try a bottle and see what results you get?

We have moved from California to Texas to South Carolina to the Chicago area with my husband's job. Fortunately, those moves have included being packed, moved, and all costs involved with selling and buying homes covered. Our next move will be on our own. No matter how a move is accomplished, it is difficult. So, one step at a time works. I know you will be happy being with family no matter where you are. I wish you well. My hair has gone from curly to straight to curly to straight depending on the atmosphere and the water. Any help is good help!!

Best,
Bonnie

Good day my friend. You know what's funny....the month that Steph has been in Colorado she has noticed that her hair has gone a bit curly in the dry air. CRAZY. Most people's hair calms down in the dry air. That and how to bake at altitude are her two big changes that she is working on. I love that trail with the giant red rocks. Where is that? Steph is having fun hitting bike trails and is always looking for other free things to do. Joy to you!

I used Dove products for years and loved them! That being said...when the winter humidity level sinks to single digit levels I have found only olive oil or coconut oil works to fix the itch. Keep the tip in mind this winter...hope you won't need it!

Pat - This blog post is so timely. I have been swimming laps every day this summer, and my hair has turned so dry and brittle from the chlorine. I will look for this product. Thanks for the heads up.

Pat, I wish you and your family the best of everything. But girl, I have to tell you...I am going to miss all the beautiful N.Y. pictures, you post on your site. I have learned things from you. Like the elevated rails turned into a park..I saw that on our trip to NYC. It will be a big change for you. please take care and always be safe. xoxo, Susie

It is so good that you have found a home to move to. I think an empty house is easier on yourself (less constant cleaning and tidying) and possibly easier to sell as buyers aren't worried by being in a chain.

Please don't enter me for the draw- UK resident.

Your hair is beautiful. And, yes, the altitude can wreak havoc. Stock up on chapstick and lotion before you get here, as you'll need copious amounts of both. :-D

So exciting about your move, Pat... I think of you often and how happy you all must be. :o) I didn't know about this new Dove product. I sounds good, and I will have to look out for on trip home to the US next time. With the dry air & conditions over here, especially during winter, my hair needs all the help it can get! Happy Days... Oh, I'm hosting a giveaway...do stop by, if you can. :o) ((HUGS))

How very fun! I love Dove products..their shampoo is wonderful and smells so good. I haven't used the conditioner though..I'll have to try that. I haven't seen any change in my hair this summer...but it's been so hot that I've stayed in the house in the air conditioning! LOL!
Oh, and the men in my family use the Dove for Men's antipersperant..it smells great, and works great, too!

Pat your hair is gorgeous! I need that! I better go visit! As a Colorado native I am excited to see you move here. I am still like a small kid and I love knowing I live at a mile high! Betsy is right though, Colorado Springs is a beautiful city with lots of beautiful landmarks! I hope we can get together when you get settled. There are a few places in Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City that I would love to share with you! I am excited for your move.
Hugs Anne
