And The Winner Is....

Today is the big day! My husband and I went to the Metropolitan Opera in Manhattan last night to see a Giacomo Puccini opera trio aptly called "Il Trittico," and when we returned home it was after 1 AM in the morning, so please forgive me that this post is a little late.

First of all, I want to thank everyone who participated in my give away! I was so pleasantly surprised and delighted by the response, and I enjoyed reading all your comments and visiting your blogs. If you are new to my blog I hope you will continue to visit me as I would love to get to know you better. It was also wonderful to meet readers who do not have blogs, and I want to remind everyone that I have my e-mail address listed in my blog profile, if you ever want to comment to me that way.

It is a pleasure to give this Christmas teapot away in the spirit of giving for the season....

... and I hope the tea will give you a warm and happy feeling as you drink it. It really is delicious and one of our favorite holiday blends.
I wrote out every entry (and multiple entries if you qualified) for the Lenox china "Holiday Gatherings" teapot, on slips of papers, folded them up, and placed them in a bowl, and my husband closed his eyes and reached into the bowl and chose......

............. Cori G!
Congratulations Cori! I'm thrilled you won because I know you love pretty tea
accessories. If you don't know Cori as yet, please check out her very pretty blog called Brambleberry Cottage. Use this teapot in good health and happiness always, Cori, and please think of me when you do!

Thank you everyone! Merry Christmas to all, and please keep checking back as I will have another blog give away in the near future.

What a lovely giveaway you had!

I've been off blogging for a couple of months and I had to drop in and say hello. What a wonderful evening you must have had at the opera. When I lived in California we would often attend the opera, ballets and plays. I don't do that much in Florida and I miss it so.

Those vintage toys that you saved are just wonderful, how special your adorable grandson will get to play with them. We had such a large family that everything got handed down to cousins and there is nothing left. You did an amazing thing!

Yay! I won!! I won!!! Thank you so much Pat and Vinnie for pulling my name out of the bowl! It's such a beautiful tea pot and I'll always cherish it and think of you (my first bloggy sister) whenever I use it for tea. Hubby and I used to have a tradition where I served tea everyday at 4 and I think I'll start it up again for the Christmas Holiday so I'll be able to use your tea pot as often as possible. Thank you sweet dear friend!
I think I've had the Gingerbread Tea before and it's delicious!!!

Love, Cori
Oh the Opera...how fun!!!

Congratulations to Cory. Such a pretty prize. In answer to question..I was born and raised in Ozone Park, Queens but I have been living in Central Texas for 4 years now. Miss so many things about NYC...ethnic restaurants, bagels, Drakes Cakes, Mallowmars, and especially the quirkiness of all who hail from there! Thanks for popping over to my blog.

Glad you had a wonderful time at the opera, we were lucky enough to spend time at Torre del Lago and Lucca, so pretty. I think Puccini is my fave, I will have to check the schedule at SFO, we are due a visit.
Looks like you are having a lovely start to December and thanks for your wonderful welcome back, big hugs, Kathy
