A Princess Cruise to the Mexico Riviera

Click on the photo to enlarge

I have been away for a week, cruising on the Ruby Princess that departed from Los Angeles to three ports in Western Mexico ---Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas.  My husband and I had a marvelous time and I hope to bring you more photos and information about our trip in future posts.

We returned from our vacation on Saturday and I now have much "catching up" to do, but I know we will forever treasure the wonderful sights, sounds, and hospitality we received in Mexico, plus the royal treatment of fun, food, and entertainment aboard the Ruby Princess.

It has been 12 years since we took a cruise. Our first was on the Queen Mary 2 to New England and Canada, for our 30th wedding anniversary during the autumn season. Two different oceans, two very different locations, and both equally wonderful experiences!

I think we have some catching up to do cruise-wise--a couple on this cruise was celebrating their 149th cruise!  Can you imagine that?  Do you like to take cruises? Where should our next one be?

How wonderful your cruise looks Pat! We enjoy cruising very much. If you've never been to Alaska, I recommend taking the Inside Passage cruise to Glacier Bay---it is magnificent. Of course, a Trans Atlantic crossing to England is just wonderful. Welcome home and have a great week. ♥

That sounds like a great cruise. We haven't done much cruising on the ocean but we have done a few river cruises. The best river cruise was from Amsterdam to Buderpest and the sea cruise was from Vancouver to Alaska on the Zuderdam, Holland America. It was amazing too.

Hello, Pat! Your cruise to Mexico sounds great. Love the photos, I would like to fly to Cabo for a week. I would have to say my first cruise to Alaska was the best. We left out of Seattle and stopped in Glacier Bay NP, Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka. The scenery is just gorgeous and the cruise felt like we were on a lake. I also enjoyed a Western Caribbean cruise out of Tampa, we stopped in Cuzumel, Grand Cayman, Belize and Costa Mayo. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!

I have never been on a cruise, but so many people that I know love them. Can't wait to see more of your beautiful pictures.

Your cruise to warmer ports looks very inviting, Pat. We've been on a big Princess cruise ship to Alaska, with friends, and that was fun. Last summer we went on a small boat, a river cruise in France, with one of the couples we went to Alaska with. That was even more fun!
Looking forward to hearing more.

It looks like a fun cruise! We've never been on one, but our friends go on them regularly! Some day we will get on the band wagon, too. I look forward to hearing more.

Oh you lucky people! I can't think of anything nicer to do in January than take a cruise to the Riviera of Mexico! Your mosaic had me dreaming of vacations to come in 2017, thanks for sharing these sights with us at MM this week.

I've taken only one cruise Pat - through Alaska's inside passage and I loved it, even though I'm not a "cruise person." I'm so glad you two enjoyed yourselves - and why not? Being in a warm place with beauty all around you. Can't ask for more.

I'm loving the collage and coincidentally at this very moment Bill is working on booking a cruise we plan to take to celebrate our upcoming 60th Anniversary (holy cow, can it really have been that long?). It has been years since we went on a cruise as well. I look forward to hearing more about the boat and the shore excursions (always my favorite part).

MY LATE HUSBAND AND I TRAVELED TO A LOT OF GREAT PLACES. I DO NOT REMEMBER HOW MANY CRUISES WE WENT ON, AND MOST WAS ON THE PRINCESS LINES. NO ONE TO SHARE THEM WITH ANYMORE. GLAD YOU HAD A NICE TRIP.

We have taken that same cruise. It was the second of 3 that we have taken. It was a lot of fun! But honestly, cruising gets old to me. Even though it had been years between the last one we went on felt like Deja vu all over again. lol! We spent a week in Puerto Vallarta and found that to be a lot more fun! Cruises only take you to the touristy places and I enjoy seeing more than that. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann

What a wonderful time, loved the pictures you shared, especially of those rocks in the ocean, so beautiful. I've never been on a cruise, but 149 of them, oh my! That is a LOT of cruises! I worry I may get seasick on them, even though I do love the ocean. Glad you had such a great time :)

Your photos brought back memories of Cabo San Lucas, and also of cruises with Princess, but I'm intrigued about your cruise on the Queen Mary II. My first cruise, with my first husband, was on P&O's Oriana many years ago (1968).
I don't think I've ever been to Colorado except to drive through one small part of it on our way south. Now you have piqued my interest.
Thanks for this post and for the memories it brought me.
