I was away last week, on a short trip to the beautiful state of Arizona. My husband and I enjoyed visiting our family members that live there, and we were especially excited to meet our niece and nephew-in-law's twin babies for the first time. (All photo collages will increase in size for easier viewing if clicked on)
We also enjoyed a day visiting the very scenic Superstition Mountains and the Goldfield Ghost Town, which is a replica of an 1890's gold mining town.
We also attended a beautiful moonlit, outdoor wedding and reception. Everything was so perfect! We were happy to share this happy occasion, and we wish the new couple much love and happiness.
We are back in Colorado, where autumn colors have faded and the mountains await their mantles of heavy snow. Ski resorts have opened for the season with the aid of man-made snow, but on the Front Range, the weather has remained mild during the day and frosty at night.
I've already begun shopping and preparing for the Thanksgiving holiday--how about you? I host every year and make all the usual favorites. Busy times are ahead--the best times of the year!

Welcome back home, Pat! The Superstition Mountains are so lovely. They seem to rise out of no where! We visited a couple years ago and really enjoyed it! What a beautiful place for a wedding. I'm glad you enjoyed this happy occassion along with visiting family. Have a wonderful time preparing for Thanksgiving! ♥
Fall get-aways are always nice. Looks like a wonderful part of Arizona to explore.
A wedding in Arizona! How beautiful. So nice to be able to see so many different places in the U.S. and family too. Happy Thanksgiving Pat.
The scenes look amazing. A moonlit wedding sounds so romantic.
Pat - we lived in Gilbert Arizona for three years and know the Superstitions well - your shots brought back such sweet memories. I adore the saguaro and so your cacti pix had me swooning. Classic shot with the horses in the foreground, cactus and mountain behind - I could just hear the Western theme song playing (in my head). The wedding mosaic - stunning - which means the wedding must have been exquisite - terrific moon shot! We have been invited next door for Thanksgiving, so we have a supporting role ... which is nice for a change! Have a festive week!
Busy times ahead for sure. Looks like a very nice trip with good family moments to treasure in Arizona. Enjoy your week.
Since you always so faithfully link to All Seasons I knew you had to be away:) Since I live in a gold rush area, of course I'm intrigued by the whole mining gold phenomena (nothing like that in Holland!). Always great to attend a wedding. But since Thanksgiving is coming, I can imagine you wanted to go home a.s.a.p.! Since I live close to my daughters, they like to do the cooking on the holidays, which I have gladly accepted:)
Many thanks for your post -wow, those ski slopes look perfect!Have a great week of preparation:)
...another gorgeous glimpse of the American West. Thanks for the tour. I hope to see you again.
You make us feel as tho we are right along with you on your trips. Colorado is such a pretty state in the fall. I recently attended an outdoor wedding, but not this late. They are very pretty outside to me.
Hello, your photos and trips are always wonderful. The wedding looks beautiful. Lovely scenery and views! Happy Monday, enjoy your day and new week!
What a great trip! Loved the awesome photos. I did enjoy AZ in the winter...just couldn't live there anymore because of the summers! But it's an awesome state! Congrats on the twin babies and the sweet wedding couple too.
We have a long week-end in Arizona coming up. Your photos have increased my anticipation.
You are galavanting all over the West! Good for you. Looks like a beautiful wedding. Have a fun week!
Thanks for another beautiful tour
Sounds and looks so fun!
Such lovely photos. Arizona is one place i definitely want to visit again.
Thanks for sharing at https://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2017/11/cars-were-classy-back-then.html
Your photos remind me of the Wild West! My best friend lives in AZ, and I like going there to visit. It's always a nice respite from cold/snow! We'll have some family here for T-giving. However, not enough snow (yet) to ski!
A lovely time to go away and visit that stunning scenery. The setting looked beautiful for the wedding.
A wonderful time indeed! I am not hosting Thanksgiving this year and all that has been requested of me is a pecan pie. 🧡 Happy shopping, happy preparations, and a happy holiday season...
You two have the best time 'traveling' and what wonderful photography Too!
Happy Week to you,

Glad you had such a lovely time away. I hope you enjoy this next week of preparation for the festivities.
Looks like a gorgeous trip!
I have been to Jerome, Bisbee and Tombstone but not to this town. I have to add it to my list of places to visit in Arizona (which area lot).
I envy your ability to cook for so many and make such delicious food. Lucky for me we don't celebrate Thanksgiving so I don't have to worry about cooking.
Wonderful shots and a lovely location for a wedding.
Beautiful wedding, Pat! And, oh, my, yes! The busy season is here! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday gathering! Happy preparation time!! blessings ~ tanna
The wedding sounds lovely, Pat. And so does your time in Arizona. A cousin of mine runs a ranch in Tucson that I have been dying to visit (in the winter, please!) for the longest time. Maybe someday. I can see why so many of my fellow Michigan people head to AZ in the winter! Your photos only make me want to visit more!
The Superstition Mountains, what an interesting name I wonder why they are called that? The outdoor wedding must have been a wonderful event to attend, it all looked so pretty. Enjoy your Thanksgiving prep, I look forward to seeing al the wonderful blog posts each year when the holiday season begins.
A beautiful, moonlit wedding and the scenery made your trip very memorable and fun. I always enjoy seeing photos of your road trips. Have a nice week!
Sounds that you had a wonderful time in Arizona. Pictures looks beautiful:)
Beautiful wedding! We visited Bob's daughter in Arizona awhile back and also visited the Superstition mountains and museums. Lovely

Thanks for taking me on a mini-vacay! I would love to see those places! I was once in Phoenix in November, and the weather was perfect.
I enjoyed the mini-vacation to Arizona. It is getting cold here in Illinois and wishing for the warm weather you were enjoying there. Glad you could make the wedding and visit with the twins. Family is BEST. I too am being a hostess for Thanksgiving. Haven't done it in years so am a bit anxious.
Great photos of a wonderful time! I've never thought about having an evening wedding but I love the idea.
I could use some warm weather right now. I'm freezing!
What a beautiful time you had an Arizona! Such beautiful pictures of Superstition Mountain! How lovely to have a moonlit wedding! Thanksgiving is a busy time and I pray that your time with family is very blessed!
What a simply wonderful time you had in Arizona.
As always your mosaics are beautiful with a fabulous selection of photographs.
Enjoy thanksgiving ...
All the best Jan
I've heard of the Goldfield Ghost Town... on my list of places to visit. Beautiful photos!!
Hubby and I lived in AZ for 5 months years ago while he consulted with an engineering firm. We loved the superstitious mountains! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

What a gorgeous garden wedding, fancy seeing the bride in her beautiful dress and in the next collage the snow between the trees. I love the idea of a moonlit wedding how romantic!
Happy Thanksgiving :)

My boys and I just finished a (fictional) series of books about Superstition mountain and learned a bit about that area of Arizona. How neat to learn even more today!
Wonderful mosaics. The autumn colors were so pretty. What a lovely wedding. The mountains with the snow are nice too.
Thank you for this photo journey and thank you for sharing at Sweet Inspiration Link Party :)
