My entire family enjoyed a wonderful Princess Cruise to the Alaska Inside Passage at the end of July. It was a celebration for my husband and my 50th wedding anniversary! We all had a wonderful time! My husband and I had traveled on a land and sea cruise to Alaska in 2019--click on this blog tab-- and scroll through those many blog posts if you have not seen them.
This was the first time our son and daughter-in-law, our daughter and son-in-law, and all our grandchildren visited Alaska, and it was extra special to see it through their eyes while also enjoying new sights ourselves.
Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier
We saw the most amazing sights, both on the cruise ship and at the places we visited on land. I will be showing all the highlights in future blog posts.Unfortunately for me, I developed a horrible sinus infection on the last day of our cruise, and when I returned home, I somehow developed a corneal ulcer on one eye, which required a therapeutic contact lens bandage. I am still wearing that bandage, and have had some good and bad days adjusting to the healing process, which has kept me offline. As my sight improves, I promise to be back more consistently, as I've missed blogging and reading all my favorite blogs!
In the meantime, I hope everyone has enjoyed their summer! Can you believe it is September? I hope to catch up with you all soon!

Well an amazing cruise with your family, but so sorry to read about your corneal ulcer ... may you heal quickly.
My good wishes.
All the best Jan
It must have been so much fun travelling with your whole family. A great way to celebrate your 50th anniversary. Congratulation! Sorry to hear you have an eye problem. I remember you had an eye problem when I tried to meet you in New York. Hopefully, it will heal well.
Hello,
It is wonderful you and your whole family were able to take the cruise to Alaska. Beautiful photos and a great shot of the family. Happy September, Enjoy your day and the week ahead.
We once visited Alaska and had a ball! Happy to read that you all had lots of fun

Oh wow I bet you all made some really wonderful memories together! I am so sorry to hear you ended the trip sick like that though and I hope your healing continues to go well.
How nice to celebrate your 50th this way. A wonderful time all inclusive with your family!
Well, first of all, I hope you are fully healed soon. I suppose if it has to happen, the last day beats the first, but no fun. At least you had a grand time with your family. That's just so special and I know you enjoyed every second (well, till the infection.)
I'm so sorry to hear you got sick! I saw your beautiful photos on FB. What a special way to celebrate your 50th!! May you heal quickly!
First off, sorry about the problem with your eye. That can absolutely miserable. A bad sinus infection is bad enough. I hope you heal quickly.
I love your photos and love that so much of your family went.
Oh, no--I'm so sorry about your eye. This sounds like such a wonderful trip! Alaska is on my bucket list. I love the Pacific Northwest, and although this is obviously much more north, the seaside and greenery remind me of British Columbia, which I also love. :) Hope your eye heals up quickly! Visiting from the Talking About it Tuesday linkup.
I love that all of you were able to share this experience and your photos are wonderful! Sorry to hear you have not been well. Sending good vibes to complete your recovery.
I am SO looking forward to your future posts! LD and I went in 2019. Prayers you are feeling better soon....
Lovely photos.
Get well soon!
What an awesome family trip! Thanks so much for sharing at https://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2025/09/welcome-to-badlands.html
This trip will certainly be remembered. What a wonderful experience. And congratulations from the bottom of my heart to ❤️ on your wedding anniversary!
What a pity that you have health problems. And yes, I can understand it. I had a so-called Bowman polish on my cornea in Munich in 2021. There are specialists here and they were able to help me. However, I had to wear the protective contact lens and eye patch for six months.
Best wishes for health!

So sorry about your eye. I hope it heals completely and quickly!
The cruise looks amazing. I will never get to see Alaska, but I sure enjoy all the photos I see of that magical land.
