Advice From A Mountain

Advice from a Mountain:

Reach for new heights.

Rise above it all.

There is beauty as far as the eye can see.

Be uplifting.

Patience, patience, patience.

Get to the point.

Enjoy the view!

I took the photo above during one of our trips to Colorado to visit my son and daughter-in-law. It was taken from a rest stop on US 36, the route from the city of Denver to the city of Boulder.
The Rocky Mountains loom up in front as we drive, and literally take our breath away! I love this view, and the enduring strength and beauty of those mountains. They make my spirit soar!

We are patiently waiting for the birth of our grandson .... another week.....or maybe sooner.... or maybe later.

Like the mountains advise : Patience , patience, patience!

Maybe you'll have a Thanksgiving baby! The anticipation is so exciting but the arrival is the BEST!

I've driven to the Rocky Mountains from both directions, East and West. Driving from the east TO the west is more breathtaking because you have been going across the Great Plains and ALL OF A SUDDEN there are those magnificent peaks looming over you. Driving from the west they kind of sneak up on you as you wind higher and higher and then you think, WOW, where am I, How did I get here? These mountains are high!

Oh my gosh! I can't believe how close the big day is. I'll be waiting on the edge of my keyboard for the good news...I could use some good news (what a WEEK we've had in shore house land).

I knew that view as soon as I saw the photo. I drove right by that spot every workday when I lived in Boulder and worked down at the University Hospital in Denver...it almost made me cry with nostalgia. It is a beautiful site...just like the site of that new grand baby! Savor the anticipation...he's almost here!!!

Oh...the waiting! We've done that twice this year...and it's so hard to be patient. I'll be awaiting your grand announcement!

I'm sorting through my San Diego photos. We saw many of the same sights...and even had lunch at the same place (Casa de Reyes). What fun!

Oh Pat this is an AMAZING photo! Being from Florida you would think I'd be all about the ocean but I am so much more into the mountains! ~Stunning~
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving. Keep us posted on the new little guy. ~Melissa :)

Pat, as I pulled your blog up I was thinking that it won't be long now until your little grandson will be here. Imagine my surprise to see that we were thinking about the same thing! I know you can't wait.

My daughter's mother in law's friends gave a shower for my daughter last night. What fun to see all the tiny little things for our little one to come.

In catching up on other posts, I read that your daughter just turned 27. Mine was 27 this year too. It seems like a lot of things in our lives are parallel!

Oh, those last moments are so beautiful, I hope everything are going to be ok. I'm waiting as impatiently as you.

Nooo not at all hearing impatience in your post Pat lol.

Maybe it's easier to move mountains than to wait for babies to make their debut?

Lovely pic.
