A Big Smile and a "Five Things Tag"

Can there be anything better in this world than a baby's first smile?

My little grandson, who is all of five weeks old, is beginning to gurgle, coo and smile! It make this Nonna's heart just sing with happiness! I love you Leo!

Diane, of the blog A Picture tells 1,000 Stories, has passed a fun little "5 Things" tag onto me. Diane has two of the most adorable grandsons, and she has the very best ideas for turning thrift bargains that she finds into little treasures. Every Tuesday she hosts a Trash To Treasure blog carnival, and welcomes everyone to join in. Thanks Diane!

Now for the tag:

1. Name five things in your purse:

Wallet, cell phone, I-Pod shuffle, lipstick, Starbucks brand cinnamon breath mints.

2. Name five things in your work room:

Hmmm... I guess my work room is my basement/family room, so it would be a TV, bookcases, two desks (which I'm counting as one -- one for myself and my husband), two computers (ditto!), and my cat, who seems to follow me wherever I go in my house.

3. Name five things you have always wanted to do:

I've always wanted to learn to swim, learn to knit, learn to type, travel around the world, and play a musical instrument well. Maybe someday I'll be able to accomplish at least one of those things?

4. Name five things you're interested in:

Obviously besides my family, friends and church, it would be reading, travel, blogging, exploring museums, and learning new things....like knitting!

5. Five Blogs to pass this on to:

M. Kate at La Vie Est Belle

Melanie Jellybeanangel

Trish @ Nana's Living The Dream

Tara @ Days Missed on a Hammock

Sherry @ Edie Marie's Attic

source

I hope you can join in if you have the time and haven't already done this tag.

Have a good day everyone!

Leo is adorable, Pat! I can't believe he's already five months old. What a little angel!

It was nice getting to know you a little better through this post. I, too, was tagged by Diane and hope to write mine today.

What a sweet little Leo Smile!! Those little grins have a way of making our grammy hearts do flip flops!!!
I love the new links to your other posts you have added to the bottom of your current posts! You are so clever---and what do you mean you want to learn to type? I'll bet this blogging has improved those skills a bunch! :) Have a great day--it's gonna warm here in our part of the country (50s--not bad for MO), but then we're supposed to have cold and snow roll in!!

Hi, Pat! Leo is a little love...oh, he is so sweet! Look at that smile!! More of Leo...please! :o) Your tag was such fun to read. And wasn't yesterday the best?! We were very caught up in the inauguration fever. Hope and change...I like that sound of that! Happy Days, my friend ((HUGS))

Love that baby! Look at precious Leo! :-)

And I'm loving your tag, too... knitting is always something I wish I could do. I can type. I took typing in high school, and it was the best elective I ever took because it served me well. We used to type to classical music. LOL! It looks like you type pretty well to me, Pat! Your blog is always perfect! :-)

Stay warm... it's really cold here today.

XO,

Sheila :-)

Oh...he is too sweeet! Just enjoy every stage along the way...they change so quickly.

You want to learn to type? Have you got a secretary doing your blogging for you? Maybe you type like I do...willy nilly...anything that works. By now, I'm quite used to my style. My typing and swimming are rather like that as well...Judy's method...just to get by. Fun tag, Pat!

Oh I hope that you don't change your header...I love this header and I like that it is in color, too. NYC is not black and white. There's a whole lot of color in every world.

Oh that little one made me have a big smile on my face too. He really is a doll!

Hey Pat, get over here! I used to teach kids to swim so I KNOW I could teach you. I have a pool in my back yard so feel free to stop by anytime and I'll have you swimming in no time!

Hi Pat,

When I saw the photo of Leo, I knew I had to take a couple of minutes and come right over here. What a precious guy, but you already know that-hehe. Any plans on moving to Colorado?

Oh Pat, how adorable. Baby Leo is smiling and cooing already. I think is is very bright. And I'm not his grandma. Smile.

Your meme tag is fun to read. I enjoy doing a tag from time to time.

You haven't seem me much Pat, as I just said goodbye to my company of 10 days. The quiet is so nice for a change. And, I didn't have to cook a big dinner tonight. That feels so good. I do love to cook though.

I also read your Obama post and I agree with you. Our country needs a strong leader and I hope he can put his promises into place.

Hugs...Jeanne
