I love Denver International Airport this time of the year as it is decorated so festively. This beautiful poinsettia tree was located in the main arrival area.
Even the baggage pickup area was beautifully decorated with poinsettia plants.
Our hotel was fabulously decorated with hundreds of beautiful poinsettias!
Now for my Jacques Torres Big Daddy Dark Chocolate Bar give away winner!
I used Random.org to chose the winner. I had a total of 120 entries and it chose number 35 as the winner!
The thirty fifth comment was Proud Italian Cook! Congratulations! Please contact me with your full name and address so I can send out the Big Daddy bar as soon as possible!
Thank you to all who entered the give away and to all my new followers --I truly appreciate your comments and support. I have been away this week in Colorado visiting my grandson for his second birthday so if I have not had a chance to visit your blog recently please be patient with me! I hope to do another give away soon, so stay tuned.

The poinsettia tree is absolutely fabulous.
I've seen those poinsetta trees before and they are gorgeous!
I feel bad, though, cuz your keyboard is broken.
Obviously you meant to write "The winner is J-e-n-n-y M-a..."
But I'm not a sore loser. Why do you ask?
ha!

Happy Birthday to your greandson!!
So fun you could go party for a week. I love poinsettia trees. Kansas City is famous for the Country Club Plaza lights at Christmas. One of the OLD stores still in existence on the Plaza is Halls...started by Joyce Hall the founder of Hallmark. Every year they have a two story poinsettia tree....it is so stunning.
Woo Hoo! Thanks Pat, it's my lucky day!!

Poinsettas have suddenly appeared at all of our local garden centres. They always sell loads before Christmas.
Congradulations to Proud Italian Cook, it was a fun giveaway!! Where are the stockings hung, at your house? How lovely over the fire! Great poinsetta pictures, the baggage area is cool, let's hope they don't lose the poinsettas along with people's luggage!
That is beautiful. The bank here in town is an old one and they used to decorate it beautifully. Now it looks like a cold , commercial office.
I remember a Bank in Huntington had a baby grand piano and a piano player playing Christmas Carols! Those were the days.:)
Hope you had a great trip. Son just got back last night from business in France and he said it was the trip from Hell!

Love the poinsettias,...and their vibrant colours! Have a fabulous time in Colorado. I'm sure it all looks quite different at this time of year...then when we were there a few months ago.
What fun, Pat. I'm sure you had a wonderful visit with your family in Colorado. Of course, there will be snow in New York so you won't miss it when you return home.
I am so sad not to win dark chocolate though I know I shouldn't eat it and diet ferociously - or so Jeremy keeps nagging. I could just eat a small piece a day, right?
I can't wait till I am visiting a grandchild!!
Poinsettias really say Christmas and they certainly dress up almost any area. Denver Airport looks beautiful!!
Congratulations to The Proud Italian Cook.

My brother-in-law is currently snowed in in Denver (well, Denver has no snow - but MN does). He was going to Home Depot (It'sa Haas thing) and I am thinking - how silly - when one can gaze at those gorgeous poinsettias you posted! Yay for Proud Italian Cook! She will make good use of the chocolate!
Hi Pat! Poinsettia is already a name; but what to say of «Euphorbia pulcherrima»... ;)
Blogtrotter Two has started to cruise the Nile for you, but without Poirot... ;) Enjoy and have a great week!
